Good moms! Susan Sarandon and Cheryl Hines got candid about motherhood in an exclusive interview with Us Weekly.
Celebrity Babies of 2018When it comes to their own children, the hilarious A Bad Moms Christmas costars dished on what it was like for their kids to see their respective award-nominated work for the first time back in the day.
“[The] first time [my kids] saw, I was honored by Lincoln Center and I think Miles was seven and Jack was 10 and so Eva would’ve been around 14 … they showed bits and pieces of films and not anything full-frontal or anything like that, but kissing Catherine Deneuve I looked over and [my son] was like …” she said reenacting his jaw-dropping expression. “And my husband’s kind of laughing and Eva was hysterical,” the 71-year-old recalled.
Just Like Us: Celebrity MomsShe continued: “Afterwards, I said, ‘Well what’d you think, guys?’ And Jack said, ‘Did it never occur to you that you might have children?’ And Miles said, ‘I thought it was great, mom, but scarring.’ So, I don’t encourage them to see anything. They’re older now, but I figure they’ll take it at their own pace.” (Sarandon shares her two sons with Tim Robbins and daughter with filmmaker Franco Amurri.)
Hines, meanwhile, said that her daughter, who wasn’t even born when she filmed the HBO comedy series, Curb Your Enthusiasm, is now discovering her work and thinks it’s “hilarious.” She also revealed how her 13-year-old persuaded her to attend the premiere of Bad Moms Christmas. (Hines shares her daughter with ex-husband Paul Young.)
“I was worried about her coming … I said, ‘Cat, I really don’t think it’s a good idea for you to come.’ And she said, ‘Whatever you think I know and don’t know, I can just type something on the internet and see lots.’ So I was like, ‘OK,'” the Suburgatory alum told Us.

“My advice, the only way to get around that, is to get a hotel room,” Hines quipped. Sarandon chimed in: “Oh, definitely you need a hotel room.”
Hines added: “You need a babysitter for the night and you need to check yourselves into a hotel room. Otherwise, you will never have sex in your house. I mean I said it out loud, it’s the truth!”
