Cory Hardrict Says He Loves 'Being a Father'

Doting dad! Us Weekly caught up with Cory Hardrict at the The American Black Film Festival Honors in Beverly Hills on Sunday, February 25, where he dished on fatherhood — and gearing up for a second baby with wife Tia Mowry.

The 37-year-old American Sniper actor opened up about the craziness that comes with being a father to a 6-year-old boy. “My son, he’s into beating Daddy up every day. Choking me, he’s into doing a bunch of crazy stuff,” he joked to Us.

Mowry is expecting the couple’s second child, a girl, and Hardrict suggested that having a daughter is hopefully going to bring some much-needed peace and quiet.

“I heard girls are calmer and more reserved, so I’m ready for the calmness in my house because the house is chaotic right now,” he added. “I’m blessed, man. I’m very grateful and thankful.”

“I love being a father. I’m a real dad who’s at home every day with his son,” Hardrict continued. “I want to make sure he’s raised the right way, he treats people the right way, and he just grows up with the confidence as a black man in this world that he can be the president.”

As previously reported, the 39-year-old Sister, Sister alum announced her pregnancy in a sweet Instagram post in November 2017. She captioned the adorable photo of her husband and their son, Cree, kissing her baby bump. She captioned the post with four red heart emojis.

Mowry and Hardrict tied the knot in April 2008 after eight years of dating.
