Weight a second . . . huh?
When Modern Family star Sarah Hyland stepped on the scale on Monday, February 26, the number read 92.8 pounds, 49 percent body fat. The measurements were so bizarre that the 27-year-old shared it on her Instagram Stories that night.
“Definition of #skinnyfat,” she captioned the picture. “Or my scale is broken.”
But Hyland didn’t seem too concerned. In the next clip she was seen spooning Jif peanut butter out of the jar while watching The Bachelor.
In May 2017, Hyland, who underwent a kidney transplant in 2012, hit back at bullies who accused her of promoting anorexia. In a lengthy tweet, the star revealed that she had a medical condition and as a result had lost a lot of muscle mass.

There’s no need to worry! I’ve been down before and I”ll probably be down again in my lifetime but I’m steadfast and solid and will conquer my obstacles.”
Hyland did not disclose the details of her condition that left her on bed rest, but she was hopeful about the future. “It’s never fun to look in the mirror and see your heard work at the gym fade away or have your legs be the size of one’s arms,” she wrote. But I know that when I get clearance I will be able to get back to the STRONG, lean and fabulous self I know I can be.”
Celebs Fight Back on Twitter! In 2015, Hyland told Seventeen that she was “born with so many health issues” that doctors predicted she wouldn’t have a normal life. “When my mother told me that story, it resonated with me,” she said. “If I can’t have an ordinary life, I might as well have an extraordinary one. If you set your mind to something, you’ll achieve it.”
